It's always such an honor to photograph a wedding for a friend, and I am so pumped to shoot Rick and Katie's wedding! Not only have I been friends with Rick for quite a few years, but Rick is an AWESOME graphic designer. I dig working with creative types :).
We started off the session at Lafayette Square. I love that Katie and Rick looked so vintage glam.

And now some sunflare for ya :).

Outside of Bailey's Chocolate Bar, one of my very favorite places in St. Louis. Not only is it an asthetically cool building, but the Chocolate Bar also played a part in Rick's proposal to Katie. He sent her on a scavenger hunt and one of her stops was this very place :).

After we finished up at Lafayette Square, we headed downtown.

Just like in Tony and Jessica's session, I really wanted to get this shot of Rick and Katie, but my preggo-ness would not allow me to lie down on the ground like I knew I would need to do. So, coming to my rescue again, Jon grabbed this shot :). Love it!
Hot ;)

Marvelous Monday :: my favorite model
I'm a mom now.
whoa. that's really blowing my mind.
It hasn't really set in yet... I guess I might feel more like a mom if I got a pair of high-waisted jeans and a pair of white Keds with snowmen puffy-painted on them. Yeah, that would rock my minivan.
While I'm pretty determined to never ever ever wear mom jeans or drive a minivan (not that there's anything wrong with that...), I do have to admit that I'm going to be one of those parents who takes an uncontrollable amount of photos of my kid. And since I've got 'em, I'm gonna share 'em.
this is my guy at two weeks.

Courtney and Jon at Innsbrook
Late in August of this year, we got to shoot Courtney and Jon's outdoor wedding at Innsbrook. If you've never been to Innsbrook, you should book a vacation there! It's a great vacation community filled with chalet's and cabins scattered amidst lakes and rivers on a beautiful wooded preserve. Perfect place for a vacation.
Perfect place for a wedding :).
We were looking forward to this wedding all summer long because a). we knew the location was gonna rock! and b). we both used to work with Courtney during our college years and we always love shooting weddings for people we know. Especially when they're uber-awesome people like Courtney and Jon :).
The day started off with hair and make up for the gals in the lodge
Beautiful flowers put together by the mother of the bride

Jon getting ready
Some fun details... the guests arrived at the lodge and walked down a large hill to the ceremony site. Except the ones who were cutting it close on time.. they got shuttled with a golf cart :). And check out that guy in the bottom right pic. He was our boss when Courtney and I worked together. Many fun memories there :).
Courtney and her dad making their way down the hill to the ceremony site, looking cool as can be... even though it was about 130 degrees that day :)
Even though it was a little warm, the day was absolutely beautiful.
How adorable is this flower girl!
And check out that cute ring bearer on the end! Jon is a soccer player and so were most of his groomsmen. They wanted to do this pose (I think this is what soccer players look like when they're trying to block a goal), and the little guy on the end was having a hard time understanding where to put his hands. Classic :)

The lovely ladies

Some bling action

Jessica and Tony
I absolutely LOVED shooting this engagement session! Jessica and Tony are such a fun couple who were totally easy to photograph, which made our time at Lafayette Square fly by!
Aren't they adorable??!!?
Clearly they are :)

Doesn't Jessica have amazing eyes? She's going to make a beautiful bride.

There's my favorite alley again :)
Favorite!

I knew I wanted this shot, but I was too pregnant at the time to lie in the street to shoot it... so my Jon took it. And did a mighty fine job, I might add :)
