Micah + Megan are married!

Every once in a whlie, I checked Megan's Facebook page before her wedding... and her anticipation was pretty evident by her status changes and cute little notes to Micah on his wall:). Finally, her day arrived, and, although October in St. Louis at times felt a little more like June, Megan and her bridesmaids transformed the inside of the church into a fall wonderland. Richly colored leaves were scatter here and there, and the warm tones of fall were accently by the glow of flickering candles. It was truly beautiful.

Megan getting ready.

They had such cool flowers! I love the fall colors.

Megan shared some special time before the ceremony with a few women in her life.

I just love this moment! Megan and Micah truly are in love and I think this pic pretty much sums it up. There was so much going on that day and tons of people present, but Micah and Meg were totally in awe of each other.

While I was taking this...

... Jon was taking this. What a team :).

The first dance that Micah and Meg ever danced to was none other than the Hokey Pokey. So it was only fitting that they dance to that same song at their wedding ;).

We didn't have much time to shoot outside so my sunflare shots had to wait until their day-after session (more on that later!), but I did get some flare off their bling ;).

Since the wedding and reception took place early in the day, Megan and Micah had planned to do most of their shots together downtown after the festivities. Because it was unseasonably warm, however, we decided to wait until after the honeymoon to do their session. These two are so creative and have such a great sense of style, so of course we had an amazing time at the shoot! I'm still editing, but I'll be posting them very soon!

Travels

Wow, these last few weeks have been some of the best, busiest weeks I"ve experienced in a long time. I have so many shots of my amazing clients to share, including TWO trash the dress sessions (check out Kristen's site for a preview!), an adorable kid shoot, and tons of really romantic engagement shoots. But first, some photos from my recent travels!

My main man and I headed to Portland for a conference and wow, what a great city! And it's so green all over downtown.

Here's a park right in the middle of downtown:

and here's a cute guy at a resturant on the 30th floor of a downtown building:

and here's me

and for crying out loud, can the onion rings get any bigger??

I tried fish for the first time ever (other than fish sticks) before we left

And then we were off to Chicago. We took a group of college students to the regional Passion conference (which was amazing, btw... check 'em out at www.268generation.com). I didn't get any good shots of the conference because there was no flash photography allowed in the arena, which really didn't matter because my iPhone doesn't have a flash. Yeah, that's right. Jon bought me an iPhone for my birthday!
There's that cute guy again on a lunch break somewhere in Illinois

Heather and Jeff

The day after Thanksgiving, Heather waited in line outside a crowded Toys 'R Us. In the midst of the crowd and rush and the noise, Heather found something better than great deals on Christmas presents, though; she found Jeff:). And in March, they're getting married! They are such a great couple and I'm so pumped to be shooting their wedding. I met Heather and Jeff at the History Museum in Forest Park for their engagement photos and here are some of my favorites:

And of course, I gotta get me some sunflare ;).

And my second shooter Kristen got this cool shot. We were hoping for some cool, fall weather, but, in typical St. Louis style, it was uncommonly warm in the middle of the fall :).

Dang it, they're cute

Doesn't Heather have such great style? Everytime I've been shopping since this shoot, I've been looking for a sweater just like Heather's. I just love her style! I can't wait to see how she infuses her style into her wedding.

Congrats again on your engagement, Heather and Jeff! I'm so looking forward to your wedding, and I'm blessed to have such great clients!

Jackie's having a baby!

Jackie and Michael are truly one of the most loving couples that I've ever met! And pretty soon, they'll be welcoming baby Gabriella to her new home. I've done some freelance work with Jackie and felt so honored when she asked me to do some photographs for them before their baby girl was born. We headed over to Studio Altius for some studio shots and then rounded out the night with some shots outside the studio in downtown Maplewood. Here are some of my favorites:

Is she not the cutest pregnant lady ever??

Seriously, these two are going to be such great parents. They have such a devotion to the Lord and to each other. I thought it was adorable that they did most of their shots together.

This one is my favorite :).

Daniel and Amie (and a little voting fun!)

After dating since high school, Daniel and Amie are getting married! We had a great time hanging out with them at Queeny Park while shooting their engagement pics. I've done headshots for Daniel about a thousand times and this was by far my favorite shoot with him :). It was crazy how adorable they were together... we tried to do some serious pics of them, but they were just so giggly they couldn't help but smile :).

Ok, so I'm going to try something new. I'm so honored to be photographing Daniel and Amie's wedding and I want to give them an enlargement of one of their engagement pics. So here's how I'm going to do it: I'm going to keep this post up for a week and YOU can decide which photo they get. Just leave a comment at the end of the post with your favorite pic:).

Here are some favs:

I just love this shot. The warm light and the rich colors of the park make this feel so intimate and romantic. And btw, doesn't Amie have great eyes? She's going to be a dream to photograph on her wedding day!
