When I shot Jay and Tiffany's wedding this spring in Kansas City, we had a little unexpected visitor: snow. That's right... it snowed in April. We got some great shots inside the church, but earlier this summer, I headed back to KC for another session with Tiffany and Jay. The couple decided to go for a more casual look for this session, which gave them a lot of variety between their two sessions.
We started off at the Nelson-Atkins Art Musuem
The lawn of the Art Museum has shuttlecocks scattered throughout, so from above, the lawn looks like a bad-mitten court. Not only is this a unique KC landmark, but this is also where Jay proposed to Tiffany.
I love that Tiffany wore funky, color jewelry, which was totally different from the jewels she donned on her wedding day
Take a look at that... he jumped in the perfect spot for me to get some sunflare :). Not only that, but he had just had foot surgery. What a guy
Then we headed over to the newly renovated Liberty Memorial, which sports a great view of the downtown KC skyline.
Then it was time to head to Westport for some shots along the brick roads
